ABOUT ME

I am a Podiatrist - I graduated from the University of Malta with a first class BSc (Hons) in podiatry and am registered with the Council of Professions Complimentary to Medicine (CPCM).

I furthered my education at the University of Salford (Greater Manchester, UK) from where I graduated with a an MSc Trauma and Orthopaedics: Lower Limb.  In the meantime I worked at the Orthotics and Prosthetics Unit (OPU) within Karen Grech Rehabilitation Hospital. I also attended a once a week orthopaedic outpatients foot and ankle clinic at Mater Dei Hospital. Eventually I focused my work on orthopaedics and was transferred to Mater Dei Hospital on a full-time bases. Being exposed to the surgical field, I decided to pursue another masters degree at Glasgow Caledonian University in collaboration with Queen Margaret University of Edinburgh. Thus, in 2020 I graduated with an MSc Theory of Podiatric Surgery.

My special interest lies in using gait analysis and applying biomechanics to treating foot and ankle orthopaedic conditions, especially with the use of medical devices (foot orthotics, insoles, braces, splints, paddings etc).

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, travelling, and I have a passion for music.
